The 2026 District 54 Multicultural Event will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 7. Presented in partnership with the Schaumburg Park District, the event takes place at the Community Recreation Center (CRC) and showcases the diversity represented by students of District 54. We are looking for District 54 families who are interested in planning and facilitating an activity or game that represents their culture at the event. Please keep in mind that food cannot be served as part of your cultural activity.

You would be responsible for the following: 

  • Plan a craft or game that represents a specific country or culture.
  • Commit to setting up your station at 10:30 a.m. and staying for at least a one-hour shift.
  • Ensure that someone is available at 2 p.m. to clean up the station.

 

If you are interested in planning and facilitating an activity that represents your culture, please complete this interest form by January 15. You will be notified whether or not your proposal has been chosen for the event by email by Thursday, January 22.

There will be an informational meeting about facilitating the activity at 3:30 p.m. January 29 at Keller Jr. High, located at 820 Bode Road in Hoffman Estates.
