Aldrin Clubs

Aldrin Running Club

Grade levels: 5th-6th  

This club meets in the spring on Thursdays after school from 3:00-4:00 in March through May.  Students will learn about teamwork and the importance of healthy lifestyles in this running club.

Animal Club

Grade levels: 1st-2nd

This club meets in the spring on Thursdays from 3:00-4:00. Students will utilize handheld and virtual books to research and learn about various animals.  They will put together information and share a presentation with the group on their animal.

GEMS

Grade levels: 3rd-4th

This club meets Mondays from 3:00-4:00 in the springGEMS club contains various activities surrounding Girls in Engineering, Math, and Science!

Spring Choir Club

Grade levels: 4th-6th

This club meets Thursday mornings at 7:45am before school in the spring.  Students will sing and learn choral skills and will perform at two concerts: ILMEA on Sat. March 14 and the Astronaut Concert the evening of Thursday April 23.

Hockey Club

Grade levels: 5th grade

This club will meet Fridays during lunch recess in the winter.  Students will learn teamwork and build skills playing indoor floor hockey,

Spanish Club

Grade levels: 3rd

This club will meet in the Fall on Thursdays after school from 3:00-4:00.  Students will work together to learn some of the Spanish Language and experience Spanish culture.

Reflections Studio

Grade levels: K-6

This club will meet before school at 7:45am  in the Fall as an open art space for students to work on art projects for PTA Reflections.

Game On!

Grade levels: 4th-6th

This club will meet in two different sessions in Fall and Spring on Thursdays after school from 3:00-4:00. Each week, students will learn and play a new board game.  This is a great opportunity to make friends, develop social skills, strengthen communication, and more in a fun and safe environment.

Dance Team

Grade levels: 4th-5th

This club will meet on Thursdays after school from 3:00-4:00 in the spring.  Students will have a great opportunity to learn different styles of dance such as hip hop, jazz, poms, lyrical, and latin dance.

Friendship Club

Grade levels: 2nd-3rd and 4th-5th

This club will offer two sessions on Tuesdays after school from 3:00-4:00; a session in fall will be offered for 4th-5th graders and a session in winter  will be offered for 2nd-3rd graders. Friendship Club is a place for ASD and general education students to make friends and socialize while making crafts and playing games.

Improv Club

Grade levels: 5th-6th

This club will meet in winter/spring on Thursdays after school.  Students will learn strategies for improvisation comedy through a variety of improv games.

Holiday Singing Club

Grade levels: 4th-6th

This club will meet before school at 7:45am on Thursdays from Nov. 20th-December 18th and Friday, December 19th. Students will sing seasonal favorites and end with singing for the staff on December 19th

Student Leadership Club

Grade levels: 4th

This club will meet one day a week during lunch in the fall for 10 sessions.  The club is aimed at empowering students to be active, engaged members of their community and to advocate for the needs of others.

Mystery Busters Club

Grade levels: 3rd-5th

This club will meet in the fall on Thursdays after school from 3:00-4:00.  Students will learn to become junior detectives by solving puzzles, cracking codes, and uncovering clues to solve exciting mysteries.

Card Craze Club

Grade levels: 3rd-5th

This club will meet in the spring on Thursdays after school from 3:00-4:00 .  Students will learn different card games every week along with cooperative learning.

Newcomer Club

Grade levels: 3rd-6th

The Newcomer Club welcomes multilingual students who are new to Aldrin and provides them with an opportunity to connect with peers who speak their language. The goal is to build friendships, foster meaningful connections, and help students develop a strong sense of belonging within our school community.
