We are very happy to report both of our “first days” of in-school attendance went great! We were so happy to see the children in our classrooms and even more excited when they shared their happiness to be here. Certainly, it brings our theme for the year Be Here, Be You, Belong to life.
Covid Daily Screener for Hybrid Learners:
If your child is attending in-person instruction, you are very familiar with the daily screener that comes through your email at 5:30 a.m. on the mornings your child is here. It would be very, very helpful if you could complete that screener by 7:45 a.m. each morning. We are required to follow up with each family who did not complete the screener by 8:00 a.m. Doing this will ensure that you do not get a call from an Aldrin staff member asking you to do the screener over the phone. Also, don’t forget to put your child’s green screener tag on the back pack after you compete the screener.
Aldrin Arrival and Dismissal for Hybrid Learners:
Thanks to all of our parents who helped us keep the school grounds safe by saying so long to your little ones prior to them coming on to our property. This has certainly allowed us to keep the social distancing at the forefront of everyone’s minds. Just a reminder, the drop off zone for students is the area just to the west of the parking lot entrance in front of the park. Simply pull up, let your child off on the sidewalk side of your car and move on heading east on Boxwood. Please note, you should never leave your car in the drop off zone. The police have been known to give citations if a car is parked in that area. If by chance you drop your child off on the opposite side of Boxwood, it is imperative that you have them and yourself walk down to the crossing guard. It is very unsafe to cross Boxwood in the morning and we all want to model safety for the children. Thanks in advance for your help with this.
Trimester 2 Supply Pick-up/Halloween Drive Thru – All Students:
As we prepare to head into the 2nd trimester, it is time for all of our fully remote families to pick up more materials. We will again do a drive-thru pick up for these materials; however, we thought we would combine it with the Halloween fun for ALL of our families. Below is the plan:
On Wednesday, October 28th, we would like all of our students to dress in their Halloween Costumes so you can share you disguise over Zoom. We also thought it would be fun to have ALL families drive through our parking lot so they can see their teachers dressed up and their teachers could see them in your cars. If you need to stop and pick up your supplies, you will do that during this time. Otherwise, you will slowly come through the lot and wave. For safety reasons, we do ask that you remain behind the car in front of you. We will get supplies out to people as soon as possible. For those who need to pick up the supplies, we will know you need them by seeing you hold up your child’s name in the window of your car. We are hopeful the children will enjoy our Halloween Car Parade.

Friday – Wear Aldrin gear or green/gold colors
As we have mentioned before, we are always looking to increase our PTA membership.
