Principal’s Message June 6, 2019

Good afternoon,

WOW…. what an amazing year we have had filled with too many PEAK moments to count.  We had a wonderful last week of school. Just wanted to remind you, your child’s report card will be available for you to view on the parent portal beginning on June 7 at 5:00 p.m.  Please be sure to view it with your child so you can all celebrate the success together!

Thank you, thank you, thank you for sharing your children with us.  It has truly been our pleasure to educate your children and to be a part of your family.  We can’t wait to see them back in August to hear all about the summer adventures!

Summer Reading:

We all know the more your read, the more you learn. Research also proves that students who read over the summer have less learning loss than those who do not read.  This year, we have set up a new program to promote summer reading.  Please be sure to participate in the Aldrin Summer Reading program.  All of our kindergarten through 5th grade students brought home a special folder with all the necessary components to the program.  If by chance it gets misplaced, you can still access it by visiting the Aldrin website at and you will see it posted on the main page. Finally, please don’t forget, all of our students continue to have access to RAZ kids throughout the summer!  It is an awesome way to fill your home with books without taking up much space! Be sure to CHECK IT OUT!

Schaumburg Library is hitting the road and bringing the library to Aldrin’s parking lot!

  • What’s the Pop-Up Library?
    • Children’s books, activities, games, crafts and more – all right at your door.
  • Why is it coming here?
    • We know it’s not easy for everyone to come to one of our three locations, so we’re bringing the Library to you – along with plenty of books, learning and fun!
  • Can I check out the books?
    • Of course! You don’t even need a Library card. Return the books at the Pop-Up Library’s next visit, or at any Schaumburg Township District Library location. There are no late fees – just bring the books back when you can.

Schaumburg Township District Pop-Up Library is coming to Aldrin Elementary School
